Installed new radiator....saved bigtime

This may help somebody in the future save a few quid when renewing the radiator.
I shopped around for aftermarket alloy jobbies and fell off my chair with the prices they were asking. Would take 2 weeks to make too !!
I then went thru all the factory radiator books and found the exact dimensions to suit the same as the GTA....WELLA !!
Less than half the price i fitted a dual core alloy rad from an Audi.
Replaced the antique factory fan with Craig Davies twin slimlines...added some water wetta and new coolant and now she runs as cold as a nun's proverbial !!
Hope this helps a fellow Alpine owner somehow.

Which Audi? In my experience UK parts books are often not as helpful as ones elsewhere in the world as manufacturers don't like you to know what else something fits....or only sell complete units when brushes bearings etc. are needed and available in other countries

Okey Dokey ! The radiator is from an Audi 100/200
Core size 615mm x 264mm x40mm thick [2 row ]
Both hose outlets are on the same side and use 32mm dia.

I have had the car in heavy traffic for long periods since installation and it appears to work a treat...the guage shows about a match head thickness below normal. Sweeeeeet !!

Hope this helps someone as going aftermarket is big quids...not this way however.
