Alternator tension thingy

Postby pgoldsmith » Tue May 13, 2008 1:09 pm

Bit confused. replacing the alternator belt on the GTA and understood the tension was adjustable with this double threaded bolt.
But, on my car the bolt doesnt appear to connect to anything and hence I was wondering if perhaps something was missing?
Below is a (badly drawn) sketch. Can someone confirm that the double threaded bolt attaches to something ?

You really should have tried harder at play school with your crayons.

I think the bolt locates onto the end of the adjuster. Have a look in the parts manual, page 16.011 It looks like you have a part missing???

You're missing the main bit .Sliding block that the reverse thread drives in .
