Alpine gta non turbo offered.

Hi all,
I am new to the forum, and although i am not a club member,i .am offering my car for sale here, as you are enthusiasts of these. I hope there is no problem with this, as the forum would not let me put it in the for sale bit,
It is a 1989 GTA,GT, the standard non turbo one.
Briefly it is met grey, and in very good original condition, I bought it recently as a project, having been stored for quite a while. It has 57000 miles,but no history to back it up, although i am fairly sure it is genuine having some word of mouth history. cloth trim, and starts runs and drives. The doors don’t drop, chassis is good, and the headlamp glasses are close to mint, with no damage. I have improved it a lot since I got it, fixed lots of things that were not quite right, at present only the rear fog lights are left to sort to be MOT ready. I am planning on it going through a test, but it is still for sale as it is, if anyone is interested,.
I paid 2k for it, but due to a change in circumstances, It will have to go, I will sell it for that amount now, as it is, even though I have spent a lot of time on it, but will prob ebay it if I get it mot’d,

I think I know this car, bought from renaultturbospares of a guy called Nigel in Gt Harwood?

If it is the same one it has been sat in his garage since at least 97-98 as I used to get my 21 Turbo serviced/repaired there and admired it then.

Looked in good nick apart from major bubbling of paint on the roof? Also it was taken off the road because of the window wipers not working.

I was going to take a punt at it but another project came along.

Hi, yes my friend, it is that car, there are some repairs needed to the roof panel, luckily that panel is seperated from the rest of the body, and would be relatively easy to get sorted and refinished.
I have fixed the wipers now, and lots of other bits, but it still needs some more bits and bats to finish off, and prob some fine tuning to make it run just so. But i think it is the basis for a really nice one without much expense. i bought it because of the similarities with the Delorean i have, and if i could afford to keep it, as i really like it, but unfortunatly needs must, so hope someone will take it on,
