We've just been talking about fifth gear at work. It's embarrasingly awful. The two main presenters Vicki Butler-Henderson and Tim Whatshisname are dreadful. I try to watch it because its one of the few programmes about cars, but I have to keep changing channels when it gets too awful to watch!

I think they will axe it in time.....Tim whatshisface also presents some Sunday lunchtime prog on BBC1 and he's wooden on that too. As for VBH.....she isnt nearly as good looking as she thinks she is but she is as annoying as most people I know think she is!!

5th gear used to make me laugh, do they still do that "we're in the office with the gang having a bit of a debate" bit? the faces of the folks behind them told a different story for sure ;-)

Never stopped William Woolard making a career out of presenting car programs. For 20 sodding years he always reffered to a "roll (over) bar" as a "anti roll bar"

Although they're both good behind the wheel, they're both rather wooden (JP much better that tiffany dell) and Tiffany does have very 'catholic' tastes, whilst JP is better but still a 'new car so it must be better' attitude.

VBH is quite good behind a wheel but she clearly feels she's totty when she's really a plain girl with a masculine body.

I'm afraid I can't watch more than 2 mins of an episode now before changing channels to watch anything else (the last series had a 5 min 'endurance' factor).

I almost never see it but came across it the other night whilst station swapping... to see some hairy boke looking at the new Freelander.... which amazingly is bigger inside and out than the old one!!

Couldn't I go to the dealer to find this out? Sooooo dull....

I think the 'hairy bloke' is Tom Ford and I agree with peterg he's one of the better presenters. However, there was an amusing moment in one of the previous series where he was offered a drive in a supercar (I can't remember what it was) at the Goodwood festival (I think) and he kept stalling it off the line. He had to give up in the end! Embarrassing!

I may be wrong but i think it was that wounderful Maserati Bird Cage car, i saw it at Goodwood and it was a thing of beauty. And yes how embarrassing was that.........anouth to make you cry or wish that you could kick him out and show them how its really done!!, what a doughnut that man must be...... a hairy doughnut for sure.
