I thought they might be quite good, when I was at school, during the early turbo era, we designed a bracket to hold a hair dryer over the carb of a triumph vitesse. We even chose a model that acted as a blower and did not heat the air, because we knew that cold air was better. The problem was it only worked in the workshop where we had 240V.
