Postby orbut12 » Mon Sep 18, 2006 5:17 pm

Is there a screw for adjusting the CO on an A610?

Nope, you have a lambda sensor.

Could be a faulty lambda, or a dodgy sensor that is making the mixture so rich that the lambda sensor can't correct it..

This could be throttle potentiometer, coolant/air temp sensor - map sensor could also affect it but you would notice a change in driveability.

My diagnostic unit will tell you whats what..

How much for a shot of the diagnostic unit? And I've just been told I need new front discs, does anyone know which cars share front discs and pads with the A610, i'm sure i read or was told it's a clio v6 or a spider or an xm :?

Hi Jamie,
Front pads are shared with an XM- but the 610 is usually listed if you go to a factors- I got my last set for 33 quid.
Discs- a bit more tricky- Renault ones are £110 each (last year, who know what now) and as far as I have been able to find out they are only shared with the Sport Spyder (a very common car  ).
I have found them listed on some on line sites, but last year I failed to find any that had stock or could get them. You may be more lucky.
If anyone knows any other cars that share the discs I'd love to know.
I'd also try Paul at ARR- I was talking to Ben Hillier last night at the Ace and he got a good pair of S/H (near new) ones from him recently.
I still have the 4 I took off mine- not sure if any of them are thick enough to be skimmed- do you know the minimum thickness required? If you are interested let me know and I'll pop out and measure them.

The A610 and Spider discs are not shared with any other cars or Renault models..

I can do brand new A610 vented discs for £85 each, and the diagnostic loan is £25 for as long as you need it.

They fit :D
Next question, why is there an earth strap on the front upper wishbones? and i appear to have random loose cables at each lower wishbone at the back :? are they possibly for the brake pad warning light?

Yes, single wire with a bullet type connector near the end..
