How's your traction?

Postby Juzzblack » Sun Sep 03, 2006 7:25 pm

Just curious.

Accelerating away from a roundabout today (in a straight line), I gave it full throttle in second gear and both rear wheels spun! The road was wet but I was still a little surprised. My tyres are good with nearly full tread and full throttle in second in a straight line, even in the wet, isn't usually a problem. (Corners are another matter!) Maybe I've been missing a few horses until now, now that I've got decent voltage to the fuel pump!

So how's your traction! Who else can spin their wheels in a similar manner and what's your wheel/tyre comination and state of tune?

Just for fun!

I've got standard wheels with 225 tyres.

Yes , maybe there was some deisel down. I could swear I found wet road grip was actually better when I switched from 255 to 225. The narrower tyre seemed to cut through the water better. Or maybe it was just down to different brands of tyre.
