venturi 400 gt, parts shared with gta/a610 ??

Postby evosal » Mon Aug 07, 2006 11:02 pm

Hi
I have just purchased a 1998 venturi 400 gt in an accident damaged state and i believe a lot of parts on these cars are shared with the gta and a610,
Could anyone please point me in the right direction for a good parts supplier and i know its a long shot but does anyone have any idea what parts (front end, suspension etc are shared) thanks for your help :D

Thanks for the reply David but i am pretty sure quite a bit of the car is shared, The steering rack definately is the same, it has renault markings and on checking the part numbers at the local renault garage i was told it is a gta rack.
I believe the ball joints, track rods, hub/bearing carrier, headlamps and maybe the windscreen (although i have been told this is renault fuego) are also gta/610 parts.

There were only 15 of these cars made and this was the only one in the uk and also the only r/h/d ever produced. Heres a picture to give you some idea of the task to re-build it, Luckily i have the wheel and carbon brake disc which is undamaged.Image

Hi

For reference, the indicators are Renault 16, Headlights are A610 (no longer available from Renault), Front screen is Fuego, Steering column in Pug 205, coupled to a power assisted rack, so is not a GTA rack, could be 610 rack, but now obsolete now too....
Front hubs, top and lower wishbones are nothing like on an Alpine, Calipers are large AP which would not mount up to the original Alpine hub carrier anyway...

The left hand headlamp is still available @ £630 inc vat

I can get a new A610 power rack if you can't get one from Renault.

Looks like an expensive rebuild project.

Please bring it to some shows if you ever get it finished.

heritage@venturi.fr
for aftersales service,
or
Philippe Godard mobile no. +33 6 07 93 82 07
and

hopefully he will be able to find the suspension parts you need as they race venturis again now in gt under the name of venturi heritage, they must have parts available now.

if you have a problem with shipping i have a contact in Monaco who could possibly help out.

I know one in the south east. You may think this is of no use, but trust me, I'd transport any car of mine across the country for his work. I can show you the reapir he did on a front-ended DeLorean for us but you probably wouldn't believe it to be the same car...

I was chomping at the bit over this car too. Very interested to know how it goes and see it one day.
