dont think you can compare tonys gta to ours as its in a class of its own when it comes to outright power and speed

Speak for yourself (although I would imagine with what youve done and spent you ought to be close if it all works)! Mine (before the blow up...with any luck it will have even more after! :D ) probably had a better power and torque to weight ratio than Tony's does now, but mine is also fairly uncomfortable on the road now and isnt the easiest to potter round town in. Horses for courses......weight is a big factor in performance.

Yes, Peters made 260bhp at 1 bar and 378lb ft, and Tony's uncorrected 1 bar figure is 278bhp and 317lb/ft.

Horses for courses, Tony's can edge the power due to a safer compression ratio, being brand new, and run lower boost for the same power, where as the old 2.5 has the edge on torque due to higher compression etc...

so what have you actually stripped off the car to loose so much weight peter?
im hoping to get near on 300bhp not sure on what boost i will be running yet most likely to be around 18-20psi im hoping to get it back to noble as soon as possible nxt year or possibly fife where dasktek hq are based

Lets not be comparing figures from different R/R's we know they are all different - The guy who tuned it said if I took mine and run it at Power Engineering where he used to work he reckoned it would be making 15-20 bhp more - and my modded 2.5 engine never showed more than 230 bhp on PE's rollers the 3 times it went on them. I think mine and Peters Car will end up with very similar power to weight ratios and performance - mine being a bit more powerful Peters being a bit lighter - If Davids twin turbo comes off it should be quicker than both. What I will say is the chassis handles all the extra power with ease.
Alpines - GTA 3.0 Turbo, GTA 3.0 Inj (Project DD), GTA 6.2 V8 (500 bhp) , R32 Skyline GTR, BMW Alpina B10 635 Highline, Alpina B10 E39 5 Series, Jaguar 4.2 XKR, Laguna 205GT, BMW 120d.

i've been in a few different ones , they don't go any better than a £200 21 turbo really :shock: .

Simon Taylor can confirm that a 21 Turbo can indeed stay with a standard GTA to 145 mph although I think that one cost me £700 and did have £50 of modifications :shock:

Fit where? :wink:

The turbos are sitting in place of where the rear silencer normally sits. The downpipes are 3", straight out of the back of each turbo, straight out of the back of the car so I don't have any issues of trying to find space for silencers as there won't be any... 8) :wink:

Call me Mr Elf and Safety but wont you melt the shellsuit of anyone who is unfortunate enough to walk too close to the back of your car? :twisted:

GT5....there is a whole thread somewhere entitled Diet plan, it covers most of the stuff, although I found another 7 or 8kgs when I took my engine out.....brackets, shields, the extra exhaust, unnessecary nuts and bolts!
As Tony pointed out different RRs have different results...what I dont believe is that any RR would purposefully under read.....thats commercial suicide! Everyone claims to be accurate, but most over read to flatter their users and produce impressive figures to boast about.
