20 years of grime and shite gone 8) Took all the lumps to the next door unit that has a proper :twisted: dishwaser .Big Keith popped them on a 20min cycle and they came out totally clean and lush,block ,heads ,the lot .He's also got a head skimmer so might look into this squish thing a bit more but haven't got the money for any other headwork so we'll see .
All the pistons are also now cleaned and ready for rings so it's shopping list time .....It's quite a long list of little things that add up to :shock:

I'm waiting for others comments here, but my understanding is that on the turbo version the most important thing to consider is opening up the area around the valve guide (remove the 'lump' there, which IIRC is where it reduces the diameter down to 40mm. Anything esle is a waste until you've done that.

Let debate/arguments commence :

The heads still have the valves in atm ,so I haven't had a good look yet .I suppose some basic opening up couldn't hurt .On the engine section in the manual the exhaust looks the worse ,if its a true view .
On the subject of Flo......................

:wink:

More'so is the cam as the valve flow at max lift is less than what the port can flow, even at 40mm......and then when you sort the cam out so thats not a restriction, the good 'ol turbo manifolds come into play.

Turbo=losing battle :evil:
Atmo=yes, good ports handy... :D
