If you need to you have so much scope to tighten your line on the corner without fear of dreaded understeer.
I cannot really fault the car and the attention you get is amazing. Within 1/4 mile of picking up the car a biker comes alongside peers across, gives us the big thumbs and roars off. I got let out at junctions, that wouldn’t happen in a Porsche.
Obervations:
Gears,
I have paddles on my other cars but I have never really used them, but I have found that to make good progress on a windy road you do have to change down using the paddles on the entry to a bend to make a progressive exit, leaving to do its own things left you bogged down waiting for the revs to pick up.
Probably less of an issue in sport mode but trying to keep the revs sensible I have resisted too much of this.
Engine Noise.
I found the engine note quite pleasant and not too obtrusive but I am not really much of a fan of the sound in Sport mode, particularly, the popping on the overrun, bit of a novelty but not really for me.
Interior Space;
I am 6’6” tall and I can comfortably fit in it and was perfectly ok after a 2 hour drive.
This car is a keeper, its a weekend car that will get used when I feel the need and its exactly what I have been looking for years, I can’t see myself selling it as there nothing out there that does what this can. Well done Alpine!

Personally I'd give the sports exhaust a miss. But you will doubtless have the possibilty of listening. I thought the flatulence about town was embarrassing - but perhaps I'm a delicate flower. Re 17" wheels I know Alpine sources have said that they give the most entertaining handling The only downer is that you need 18" ones if you want the bigger brakes (which I find very impressive). That said the standard brakes really ought to be more than adequate unless you are going to track the car.
