Good idea,
There is a RHD GTA Le Mans register here http://www.alpinelemans.com/ but nothing is loading for me today.

Strange...my oval plate no. has the same amount of no.s as yours....mine is something like K009151. Certainly doesnt have four zeros at the front like brakes Int. said :?: Mine is a fairly late turbo....1990 registered.

peter, look on page 01.21 of the parts manual, there is a breakdown by year.
For D501, GTA turbo, 1990 starts at k4791.
Are yo sure that yours starts with a 9, perhaps it is a 5?

Anyway, now you know that the brakes Intl slave will fit...... hopefully?

Peter, if you look at part manual page 37.211 Renault use 4 leading zero's (no doubt too idle to stamp on plate). Splits over 2 different parts at K00001515.
If it helps i've checked the invoice and the one I got from Renault 10 yrs ago was 7700770689 for a turbo 1st registered Aug 1988.
Don't know what number is on the cars plate - too late and too much amber nectar - no doubt I am also too old to read it anyway even when sober.

So does that mean that the slave cylinder will fit because pretty much all our cars are above K00001515???

Peter, I just ordered a slave from Brakes Intl (01706 666999), p/n CSC3111 £55 delivered. I'll let you know if it is the right one, should get it mid next week, it looks just like mine from the picture on their web site, so I'm hopefull. Actually my old one is surprisingly good, very minor wear on the bore and just starting to pit/rust at little at the end of the piston's travel.

Ive also got one from them....they are all the same unit, its down to the thread size where the pipes join apparently. Atmo has one a bit bigger.
I have my fingers crossed. I thought you had decided it was your clutch plate in the end anyway???

It is the cluth plate, got it out this afternoon. But while I have the engine out, thought I'd change the slave and also the fork.
Flywheel has suffered though, the clutch plate rivets have worn away a groove about 1/4 mm deep, so I'm going to get it refaced. Also there are some hair line cracks accross the friction area, so will take advice on it's remaining strength. Garage floor space is getting full now, might not be able to get the lawn mover out tomorrow.
