As someone who has taken the plunge and put a deposit on No.1428 Premiere Edition in the UK I can't wait. Having driven across the Alps and around most of Europe over the past 10 years in my 911 2.7 RS I am really looking forward to the 2018 European Tour in an Alpine!

The search for more information on this exciting piece of history has come up with this photographer's great images of the New Alpine shoot last year. I particularly like the drone shots. Enjoy!

Hi,
Congrats for your plunge; still have to be a little bit patient though.
I think they are doing the right thing in order to deliver what people expect from an Alpine. Many complained about all time it takes to be unveiled, but finally, over 4 years to create that brand new car & considering the divorce with Caterham that slowed the process, it is not that bad.
They always said they prefer take their time, but make it right.

Thanks indeed for the great pictures !

Hello Folks,

Deposit paid on V15 XON, #1684 of the Premiere - still can't decide on white or blue?
Regards,
Steve

Difficult until you see the finished car. Maybe you will change your mind completely and go for black!

New official communication (Google translate) :

The New Alpine will have a flat bottom and a rear diffuser giving it a remarkable aerodynamics.

Airflow control is a key factor in the performance and efficiency of the future road Alpine.

The combination of a flat floor such as can be found in the universe of supercars or race cars and a diffuser located under the rear bumper will provide an important vertical support for excellent stability .

The aerodynamic efficiency obtained makes it possible to do without a rear spoiler and allows the Design and Engineering teams to preserve thus a pure and fluid line, which the owners of Alpine know and appreciate so much.

Hello Folks,

Received this invite with scantiest detail. Does anyone know quite what
the VIP aspect is?
Regards,
Steve

We get to see the finished car earlier than expected. In fact TOMORROW

Here is the release schedule from Renault UK:

Tomorrow 10h00 – two pictures + the name

Tuesday 7th, time tbc but likely to be 07h00 – full pictures and details (except weight)

Tuesday 7th, 12h15 – weight

I'm hoping the weight is being kept secret until last is it is a big surprise in a good way i.e. less than 1000kg rather than a big disappointment!

Ahead of the Geneva International Motor Show, Alpine reveals today the first images of the new two-seater sports car it will premiere.

Its name is A110, reflecting the timeless principles of compact size, light weight and agility that made the success of the “Berlinette”.

The A110 features a full aluminium platform and upper body for optimum weight saving and agility. Key specifications of the A110 will be announced during Alpine’s press conference at the Geneva International Motor Show.

Very nice. Blue would be my choice if I was buying a brand spanker.

I like that they used the A110 name as well. Only downside is it knackers up my google searches for a £3000 barn find A110!

Wonder how close the colour match will be to my GTA...Real pain to find consistent paint colours to match...If I ever respray I think this colour may be the one to go for...More likely to be standard/reproducible !!
