On a French forum, I read it was 200 for France all sold after 36 hours.
I'll try to find out how many units allocated by country.

I was offered one here in New Zealand (RHD market), so I presume that means RHD production is figured in. Delivery later 2017.
Love one, but two Alpines already means I'm not up for it as this stage.
Re Japan, they really like LHD cars even although it is a RHD market, because of their novelty value. The majority of Citrtoen 2CVs sold there were LHD, some ending up here in NZ as second hand imports.
Cheers
Graeme

Looks like demand was greater than anticipated and all the limited edition LHD cars are now reserved so they are now taking pre-orders on the regular series cars:

We don't know how many allocated for each country.
France : sold out after 1 day.
Italy & Netherlands : Sold out after 48H.
Other countries : 2 days later.
I think they sold around 2500 Renault Spider within 4 years, something like that...
Looks like they still face engine reliability issues; that's why there is so much delay.

Thanks for the information updates.
What have you heard or read about engine reliability issues and was it from a reputable source?

I'm quite sure the source is reliable, but he didn't tell/know what kind of issues (just reliability), because he's not working for Alpine, but probably for Renault (I didn't ask).
He just said he had internal echos about that.
Another info I had; they're already finalising the convertible version and their ambitions are worldwide including the US market.

Regarding the convertible version "finalisation", I'm not sure that source is reliable, but I know Alpine is thinking about it. I can't tell how much they are advanced in the project.

First showroom under preparation at Boulogne-Billancourt in France.
The funny thing about it, previously it was a Porsche Center...
There will be 20 showrooms in France from a total of 60 across Europe.
I'm really glad to see "Alpine is back".

never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

It would be interesting to know the UK dealerships because are, as working in one of the RS centres I haven't heard "head or tails" who has the privilege of being appointed.

You laugh but they were interested in having a dealership in some premises Steve was trying to purchase so I think at least some of the new dealerships will be standalone.
Alpines - GTA 3.0 Turbo, GTA 3.0 Inj (Project DD), GTA 6.2 V8 (500 bhp) , R32 Skyline GTR, BMW Alpina B10 635 Highline, Alpina B10 E39 5 Series, Jaguar 4.2 XKR, Laguna 205GT, BMW 120d.
