thanks , i've had a look at it and i wouldn't get too exicited if i were you :shock: . The torque drops of as the revs rise so fast that it's not much use unless at low rpm ( which you're not when racing ) . So in other words it's a nice shopping engine or fine for crusing on the motorway . I doubt it's got 210 bhp at the wheels either , but a fare effort :D

Ok.....whatever you think! It was only the 2nd session on the RR with the ECU, and it isnt the finished product....as I said earlier it showed 209.something at the wheels so technically no, it doesnt have 210 at the wheels. The low torque is actually very handy for speed events.....alot of them are very tight, but the idea was to further tune the set up to even it out a bit more until the pistons went pop. Its back together now so I will hopefullly be doing some more work in the next month or two. Off you go now so we can put this thread to rest....it has gone on far too long already! :roll:

Yes toddle off and lick your wounds then :lol: :lol: :lol: , you put up a good fight but if i'd spotted that dyno sheet on page 6 then it would have been finished ages ago :shock: !!!!!! You got no chance against a 200+ bhp gordini :wink:

It smashed the fastest time of the day LOL it made it look so easy it handled the bends like it was going on a shopping trip, I'm sure if the bends/track had been wider, he'd have taken minutes off his time :shock:

If a car handles you dont have to slow down for the twisty bits :!: :!: what do you need massive power for? you can have a fast circuit car but it may not be the most powerful car on the circuit :wink:

exactly , you don't need a fast car for hillclimbs because a slow car that handles can win . Hence peterg's gta is a slow car that handles , i've also got a renault 8 which is slow but handles and that's good at hillclimbs 8)

Or you could say your car handles well because its slow, doesnt mean its going to do the quickest lap though..

Or you could say....whats the point Gary doesnt understand anything so theres no point!? Knockhill international circuit....1 st place 2 years running (big straights and no tight corners), Barbon Manor 1 st place 2 times in the last 3 years, 2 open corners off the line, huge straight then a moderately tight corner followed by the finish line. Power is everything at both these courses.....but I dont suppose Gary has even read this far so there isnt much point. :lol:

Dinis are the fastest cars in the world....its official. GTAs are slow and nothing anyone can do to them will change this or Garys rather small mind!!

Well i've watched the video of him driving around a go-kart circuit in second gear all lap :lol: :lol: :lol: , looks very difficult up there :roll: . Can he post up his times and the names of these places please so we can compare them to some proper cars then ? :D

Not off hand I'll have to look most of them up...but I'm about a second off the Barbon class record which is held by an Evo in full 400bhp tune and with a very experienced driver (and several tenths ahead of the 2 litre class). Forrestburn which is a twisty one I did a 52sec......cant recall Knockhill. Ive done a 68 up Harewood and a 92 at Kames.
The main thing you need to concentrate on is that my times are normally better than or close to the 'up to 2 litre' class that your car would run in. Most class records in that class are now held by tuned Elise 190s, extremely trick 205 1.9s or the 5Gtt that I beat at Barbon last year (when he set a new record)
