There are quite a few A110 owners on here now and hopefully some of the other guys will have a passing interest too.

Got to remember that the Group 4 rules at the time dictated that drive had to be the same as the mass produced road car, hence Audi were one of the first to mass produce a sporting saloon in 4wd, hence the success of the Quatro was due to the ability to being able to homologate it for rallying in the first place rather than some great new advance in technology, 4wd not being new by a long shot.
If the rules had not changed to group B then Audi would have continued to win for ever more, at least until Suburu sorted out whatever that awful thing was they used to run in the early 80's.
yes Lee. I was there too, in the forest, 2am, 5 cylinders roaring in the distance, getting closer.........hell, bit of flame, shower of gravel, then gone! great days.
