20th Anniversary A610 metal plaques

Postby phildini » Sun Jun 26, 2011 2:33 pm

Dear ALL A610 owners ( C.A.R. included ), we all know about the 20th anniversary celebration for the A610 this year. I am thinking in having some engraved metal plaques made all according to your car production number for the UK A610, similar to something like a "Le Mans".

Hopefully I will be able to ask Mr Dell for help regarding correct allocation, if anybody is interested please PM me. The more I have on the order book the cheaper they become.....of course

I am having one made for my car anyway, so a few more should not be a problem. I think it will be quite nice touch...... :D

A descision would have to be made whether to order them by chassis number or fabrication number although chassis number would probably be best.

One of the clio v6 guys had some of the renaultsport plates remade that were on the v6 and the spider so that might be a nice format to adopt so that it looks factory. They were certainly cheaper the more that were made and I think they were about £15 each. Will take a pic if one.

Also a fixing point and method would need to be agreed.

I know a man who can do plaque engraving, he does trophies.
I am seeing him this week, so can ask.

Do we have a draft design?

What would be nice is if we cold copy the plaques that were put on the dash boards of the magny cours 610.

Ok Guys I am on the case................ :D

I have contacted a few companys who do this sort of things and looks like ( if I have enough of you on board ) the plaques will come out at around £20 each, hopefully less. As always initial set up charges are expensive. If anyone else in the club can help with this sort of things please contact me.....

Where would you want the plaque to be fixed, dashboard where the Magny cours is fixed or on the centre console ie ashtray etc.....

This is the badge attached to all Mille Miles cars. It may give you an idea for the design of your badge.

I'd prefer it on the ashtray personally but if it's a masterpiece of plaques (and looks as good as the one above)it would look good on the dash (that inch and a half piece above the glovebox).

That looks spot on, the ltd Alpine badges seem to be all in gold which would be nice to do as well.

I am still working on them, waiting for a few quotes to come through......

Do you guys prefer them in gold or brushed steel? any suggestion will be appreciated.

Can somebody post a picture of the Le Mans with sizes please.
