Renewed Media Interest

There seems to be a lot of media interest in the Alpine brand at the moment.

I've had several calls and enquiries for cars to feature in photo shoots lately:

Look out for:

Shadi's A310 in next months Classic & Sports Car

Chas Newport's GTA Le Mans in Classics Monthly. Issue Date TBC. 5-6 page spread 'Living the Dream'.

& Now Practical Classics are looking for an all original GTA Turbo for a head to head with a Nissan 300ZX...

Any takers?

Nissan 300 and GTA.....no comparison...the Nissan is a pig ugly bloated thing (I assume they are talking that late 80s monstrosity that is vaguely related to the excellent 240z?)....its probably a lot less temperamental though...see...no comparision!!! :lol:

Will probably be depressingly quick in a straight line though if they do a head to head with an early 90's twin turbo.

Top tip .Buy all the 200sx's you can find .The next F & EFFIN Furious is all about Drift :idea:

The 300 does look abit 610y though :lol:

Trust me, the 200sx OC are not happy, as they feel drift is going to be the next chav craze.. :roll:

I am slightly confused now...the 300ZX was originally the bar steward grandson of the 240z with a turbo bolted on to the straight 6 and the capacity bored out to 3 litres wasnt it??? The later 300ZX was Nissan's attempt to make a Ferrari competitor with twin turbos and was a very large heavy cruiser of a car....not really something you would line up next to a GTA, which, despite its 4 seats is more of a sports car than a cruiser.

There was a really nasty chav'd up 300zx twin turbo on the Isle of Man...lots of chrome, big power and massive wheels....think I pipped that mobile bedstead by 1/2 a second on the straight uphill sprint at Bray.....then he didnt show again at the other events!
