It looks like a beautiful photoshop job.
I hope someone at renault HQ sees it, It looks good enough to be turned into reality.

I suspect they have named the 'concept' car 220 because of the original its obviously a pastiche of (110 in case there are any blind people out there reading this!!  )

The current fad for retro styling new cars is not really my cup of tea!

Don't see any reason why a new Alpine should look like a 110. They never styled the A310, GTA or A610 to look like the A110. Each one was a progressively more modern Alpine in it's own right. Why would a new one be any different?

Yep, those are the sort of cars I'm talking about. Add to that the new mini, that Stratos concept that there's talk of making etc.. As I said, not my thing but I can see the appeal. I think the originals are great cars and it's obvious why they would want to copy the styling.

Not only that, but its easier to make it idividual in todays market. If Renault made a new designed Alpine, it would look all techincal, and conceptual like (like the Wind Project), but would look typically similar in styling like most other manufacturers.

If they went back and modernised the A110, it would still look fresh, but still very different to everything on the road.

If the Spider had a roof, it actually reminds me of a modern A110, especially the front end.. :D

How many were made? Are there any in private hands and in use or are they locked away somewhere? I've seen the pic in the model cars section but are there any decent pics of the real thing anywhere?
