Lol, I love this Martin..

Peter G's map is fine, for his car and spec, so why would you assume it would run perfect on any other vehicle.

He had a different turbo, CC, injectors, and his BASE TDC timing is modified from everyone elses.

If you want a decent map, runs good etc, then If you can bring the car to me and pay me then I can do that for you. If you want a full power run, ie on a dyno, then still bring it down this way and go to EA which is only 10 miles from me. Its swings and roundbouts again, he can do a full map and do good power, but is not going to spend as much time on part throttle and cruise unless you leave it with him a long time, where this is better to do on the road.

I had another customer down a few weeks back, we spent a good hour on the motorway sorting out light throttle and cruising, and pick up. Running as good as the OEM Ecu with ease. Starting first time, cold and hot.

Well let's start with the parts of the IGNITION map when the engine is under low load (which will be pretty much the same on any standard Z7U regardless of setup).

I'll give you a hint.... the "peterg6" map is running 24 degrees of advance across the board between 2500 and 6000rpm under natural aspiration. That's light throttle cruising and revving on the spot.

That is NOT properly set up.

You've probably got better maps now, as do I.

Where is the header tank for the CC system? Why is the inlet manifold black, seems a shame after cooling the charge down to heat it back up again.. :?

After opening my gearbox and cleaning the internal magnet, I am putting a magnetized sump plug on the gearbox too.

I just re read this post from the start, it brings back memories and laughs too.
