502d wheel bearings

Postby evo 11 » Thu Sep 08, 2016 7:27 pm

Hi Guys,

I had a chance today to drive my car on 50 kilometers distance. It was quite nice, new tires are on.
Unfortunately I hear strange noise all the time, I did tires warm up like F1 cars does so have no doubt the noise came from bearings.
What options are available to solve this problem? What bearings packs are available?

Thanks Karol

Wheel bearings are pretty standard items.

Common to other cars including lotus esprit.

The front bearings were used on many contemporary Renault models and are still available from the Main Dealers if you want the genuine article. Part number is 7701462020. The last time I priced one ( a couple of months back), they were around £60 each.

The rear bearings were bespoke to the GTA's but the difference to the front ones was negligible. Genuine ones are NLA from the Dealers but you can use front ones for the rear, no problem.

As others have said, there are plenty of aftermarket bearings available, if you don't want to pay Renault prices.
