Hi
I bought my GTA turbo about 6 weeks ago. Its a 1986 car, showing 47k miles. I love these cars, but I have been a bit reluctant to take the plunge. Moving to less than 20 miles from Lee has made a big difference & I bought a car that has been for sale for quite a while. The sale price was a bit salty, but after a bit of haggling the deal was done. It is a fairly low spec car, cloth, no a/c, no abs, but maybe all the better for it. also interestingly according to the file of paperwork that came with it, it did 45000 miles in the first 15 years & less than 2000 in the last (next) 14 years

I have only just got round to giving the car a proper check & a good drive. It goes well, no leaks or engine rattles. there is a slight low speed missfire. The hoses look ok but not great. The clutch bites ok but is at the bottom of its travel. The seats are a bit saggy but ok. The radio works, as does the wipers, lights etc. It probably needs brake discs & pads & a bit of TLC.

I had forgotten how good these are to drive ! :up
