Rear Fuel Filter fitting

Postby pgoldsmith » Sat Oct 05, 2013 10:22 am

So, I've fitted the front fuel filter and now doing the rear.
I have a KL21 which I believe is a like for like replacement.
It comes with a large fitting on the bottom and a copper fitting on the top. Do I re-use any of these fittings or remove them both and use the existing ones? Also, is there a need to put any sealant on the threads ?
Cheers,
Paul

You use both fittings from the old one .Use the new copper washers but make sure you seat them properly in the recess on the filter .If seated correctly it should be OK .
Prime the system a few times to check for leaks before you put it all back together .
