RATS - the 4th Emergency Service

Postby blueg33 » Mon Feb 04, 2013 5:19 pm

Fulled up with fuel today and the car wouldn't start, all the ignition lights etc came on but when I went to turn it over - nothing, zilch, sod all!

Phoned Lee, he diagnosed the problem very quick and said it is "terminal"

He was right, loose +ve battery terminal

Thanks Lee, thought I was going to have to leave my daughter waiting at school

We (Alpine owners) have all been there before Nick, it's all part of the owning experience

Bloody annoying though, it had been tucked up un-driven for 4 weeks at home, started on the first turn of the key. But when I am at the petrol station in the middle of nowhere with 30 mins to drive 20 miles to collect daughter the bloody thing wouldn't start!

No doubt similar will happen again. I was going to drive it to Grimsby on Thursday (3.5 hours) not sure now, as I really need to get to the ceremony with the mayor etc
