ECU Cover screw thread

Ok guys, just discovered my ecu cover has all of the screws missing.

Can any one tell me the thread size for the screws?

Also the thread size for the scuttle cover screws

Really, how was the cover plate staying in place, sticky tape, it would fall off otherwise - very odd?

I assume you are talking about the 4 tin lid cover screws? I have loads, send me the p&p and I'll pop some over to you.

I think Nick is on about the ECU cover that sits between the rear seats not that actual metal cover on the ecu itself. It should have 4 screws, I'll check in my box of bits as they are standard screws. Not got any scuttle panel screws BTW sorry.

... ah well I never see them long removed and out the way to get at the heart of the matter... but they do make good little tool trays upside down

FFS Nick has a lot of screws loose

They were there as they all came out of the donor car ...feck knows ,as per Faulks I usually have it all bare but I must have them somewhere ...may even be in the car ?? check all ashtrays etc .
Will dig some out if Badger comes up blank ..

Yes its the cover between the back seats, the padded one. You wouldnt necessarily know the screws are missing until the seats are folded then it falls off All ashtrays checked. Are they self tappers or machine bolts?

I am soundinmg a bit anal about screws these days But better that is my only concern rather than rot, gaskets, gearbox etc etc

GTA carrying capacity is good. Last I collect junior and his mate, one is 6ft 4 the other 6ft 2, they also had with them 3 guitars, 2 amps, 2 large holdalls and 2 sleeping bags. It was a squashy but the fitted in the GTA. But GTA was not having it and wouldn’t start. So I unloaded the kit and the boys, ecu cover fell off, I bushed firmly on all the plugs etc that I could see, and hey presto car fired up.

4 self tapping T20 torx screws. You can replace them with regular pozi drive screws.

found these today genuine gta ecu cover screws and a windscreen scuttle screw you could use to match the thread.
