Hi guys,

Thanks for the tips last night on the roll pins - I'd have never found them without knowing they were there somewhere. They had a blob of sealant on each end, which was then covered by dirt and grease, so they were invisible until I started cleaning the area.

Can the roll pins be reused? They seem fine anyway...

Anyway, thought I'd update you on my progress with the subframe...

I got the subframe, arms, roll bar and various brackets down to the powdercoaters this morning. Sandblasting found a few weak spots on the drivers side of the subframe, so this was welded before powdercoating.

Some pics:

Firstly, the "before" pic - lots of heavy rust and grease:

Very clean looking after sandblasting:

Part of the damage to the drivers side:

More damage at the other side:

Welded and polished:

After Powdercoating:

Another shot after powdercoating - good as new!

Thanks,

Good job you pulled it when you did ,bad rot in just the wrong place
Should last another 20 years now ....
Yes you can reuse but they cost feck-all so I'd get new ones .Let me know if get stuck ,I have a bag full .You need to silicon them up again or they'll leak box oil .
