Running a 255/40/17 instead of 255/45/15 is a 4.14% difference in circumference.

i.e. when the speedo indicates 70mph you are travelling at 72.9 irrespective of gear ratio.

Hardly anything to worry about.

Thanks for all your help everyone, back rims are definately 17" X 8" 245X35X17. There great looking wheels but at least 30/40mm too far in the wheel arch. Fronts are 16" 195X45X17 and sit perfectly out on the arch. May have to replace the set to AZEF's,but gonna be costly probably blow a grand with tyres. I was setting money aside for mods to engine i.e new PChip and maybe straight through stainless exhaust.
Any body want to by a set of TSW wheels with almost brand new tyres?

Ha Ha, thought one of you might own something other that an Alpine :shock: sorry swearing again. You know a Mazda, Ford or Renault :roll:
