Interior fan

Guys (and gals).
My interior fan will only run on full power, not on the lesser ones. I have changed the module behind the radio with a new one, as advised by Simon Auto, who is normally correct but this makes no difference!
Does anyone have any ideas? It would be nice to be able to have the fan on low sometimes!

I "think" i saw another post here a couple of years ago..... mentioning that it was the 4 position rotary switch that was faulty.

on the 21 T it'll definately be the switch.

After about the first 6 posts on this thread, you too will understand the ins n outs of how the fan works...... and how to diagnosise it....... and how to fix it.

The serach facility on a forum is one of it's best features.

The internal fan speeds are controlled by a resistor situated in the fan duct under the bonnet next to the fan. You should be able to see the plug sticking out of the top of the fan duct. To access this resistor you have to remove the fan and inlet duct. The resistor is held in by one screw. It is positioned here so that the air passing will keep it cool.
