too much boost

Postby clee » Fri Jun 30, 2006 2:39 pm

 I shortened the feed tube from the plenum to the ART bleed valve just to tidy things up as it was flapping about a bit ,didn't give it another thought .Been out today and it was hitting 20 psi
I have had to reset the valve ,scared the bejeebus out of me when it did it and never felt the plenums as hot

Are you sure you've not got a split or some kind of leak in the hose?
I'm just here for the gasoline.

I thought that at first ,but was all OK .
I can't fathom why shortening the tube should make such a huge difference though :? It was set at 16 peak but was running 20+ and it's effing hot today .I have cleaned the valve and put a new piece of tube on in any case
I took about 6" off the length so now it's 3" from the outlet .
