Centre console replacement

Having seen at the Ace Cafe meet what the centre console (the bit with the cubby holes, heater controls and gear gaiter mounting) should look like when in good condition I think I'd like to replace mine as it currently resembles a broken airfix kit held together with sticky tape and wedged in wood screws...
So two questions to the forum.
1) Anyone got a mint/very good centre console (in black) assembly for sale ?
2) Can a monkey (i.e. me) change it without causing irreparable damage...

I have a centre console that I changed from my car. The only damage on it is a small burn mark about the size of a penny just to the right of the gear lever. I changed it because it really bugged me! I will let it go quite cheaply as you may be able to repair it, or even recover the whole thing in leather. If you are interested contact me on 01492 533430. Andrew
